Robbie's Question

I have no problems in embracing technology as a tool for teaching. I buy the idea. My challenge really is how to be more critical or "teacher-tech" savvy. There are so many offerings on the web and choosing the program is as important as being able to master it. What are the important things to keep in mind when choosing programs/platforms for say, a science class?
