Limited Resources

Some students have limited resources at home and they would want to continue their activity using the internet or a computer, would this have a huge impact on the things that we would want to achieve?  Any idea on how we could deal with this?

daily use of 1-to-1 instruction

Is it really feasible to use 1-to-1 instruction on a daily basis? I am a Science teacher and I put premium on seeing how students solve problems using the calculator and looking at the periodic table and of course, applying lessons in lab work. Thanks.

Robbie's Question

I have no problems in embracing technology as a tool for teaching. I buy the idea. My challenge really is how to be more critical or "teacher-tech" savvy. There are so many offerings on the web and choosing the program is as important as being able to master it. What are the important things to keep in mind when choosing programs/platforms for say, a science class?
