WWW Safety

Is it safe for third graders to get email and facebook accounts?

    I think it's like TV... it would be okay as long as there's close supervision. Children need to know their limits in terms of what they search and what they share.

    I definitely think it's okay for a third grader to have e-mail. I am a little bit more hesitant about facebook though...

    that is why it is more formative to educate students on how to use social networking sites properly rather that blocking these sites.
